Sunshine Canyon Landfill is located in northeast San Fernando Valley at the interchange of the 210, 5 and 14 Freeways. It has the best freeway access of any landfill in the County of Los Angeles, which means that trucks on route to the landfill do not pass through residential communities. Its location in an industrial area also makes it the most remote landfill in the County.
